2g Battery

Hello,I bought Ipod contact 2G 8G adaptation this weekend and that i did a few small take a look at about is battery life and i want to know how can i save some electricity and whether it is achieveable to vary battery after a while and if there are any outside battery's that serve as properly with a Ipod Contact Second Iteration.

To save battery ppower, i turn off the wifi and set brightness to its lowest and no longer play and video games. Dont regulate the battery, if it breaks simply ship it to apple to fix.
