gpz600 assist non running?

I have a gpz600 that i were given offered a pair month in the past as a non running undertaking.

i am very technically minded and first rate round all issues mechanical... however for some reason why i cant get it running... have had it turning more than with the lend a hand of a fixed of booster cables. so altered the battery ... and now not anything .... I have no lights which tells me its whatever thing electric ... but god knows what.... I have stripped the bike down so manytimes now i am acquiring bored to death ................... please assist
